Content-wise, I think it would work better if you worked it into a song. Just the way you have your sentences structured and all that. The brand of simplicity you have working for you here would also be better suited to song form, in my opinion. But its sweet and stuff, so work with it :)

You're an awesome writer, don't ever think otherwise. You're writing is so clear, it's almost erie. I know the feeling all too well, but I've never been able to do anything about what I feel. I really envy you, you took a risk and it turned out great. I think it may work again, but hell, you won't know til you try
