Beautiful. There is something allusive about this, haunting, almost ethereal despite the modern setting or perhaps because of it, I don't know.

"And I just toss my light blonde hair, smile my cheerleader smile and ignore her."

There is something very fitting about this ending. She didn't leap to her friend's defence or anything, because it isn't needed and wouldn't happen, and I like the character and story better for it. And apart from logic, it just flows. I love "cheerleader smile." Man, you're good.
