That latter part of your poem definitely sums up the government's inaction quite well. You however forgot to put that they could have made the damage much less by giving New Orleans funding before Katrina (they revoked it to battle "terrorists" and to fund "homeland security") that would have reenforced the levees and that the US has effectively made Lousiana and New Orleans a de facto police state. What the media called "Rescue" the army generals were calling "Attacks". After all, Bush and co. love private property.

We were not aware that 9/11 was going to happen; we were perfectly aware of Katrina years before it happened. Thus comparing the two events is outrageous. The government's response, however, being equally terrible and manipulative in both circumstances, is a valid comparison.

The poem itself used some great imagery. I just felt I needed to do justice to some truths that the bourgeoisie chooses to cover-up. This work also had a nice, rhythmic flow that tied it together. Good job.
