Leyman 2005-09-12 . chapter 1We all have our moments of guilt, and reflect on our neglected responsibilities. I aint saying that's what this poetry is about, but what comes to mind is that moment described as when the lights are off, and we are left to fend for ourselves. Then peel, peel the layers of our identity as much as we can to discover the plain truths, lies, and treachery that were constructed in order to bring our position in this world into fruition. So are we all guilty, surely what we are left to do is make the best of it?
"The sins of the father are to be carried onto the child?"
Em yeah that's right! When we consider what the grandchildren to the children of now are going to experience as the world burns.
When we also consider the children in impoverished villages born into the shackles of bondage their parents brought them into, and Druggos, and smokers, I think it's fair to say that the sins of the father though not fair sounding are somewhat carried on to the next generation. However with acknowledgement of this stain the child may have the power to exorcise it. Like free will?

catcattoy 2005-09-11 . chapter 1out of curiosity my dear caustic friend, would you happen to know what "metaphor" means? Do you understand symbolism? I wish I had the heart to hammer at the lack of thought that goes into your work...and also, the lack of "emotion" may be from the fact that I was playing with the 5-7-5 haiku-With an attitude like you have, I gotta wonder at the amount of peas under your mattress - O' and by the way...that just might be a form of hm...metaphor? |
