Your three main characters are great, each one is so different from the other. Their dialogue is nice too. By the way they talk you can easily tell who is who. I can't wait to read the next chapter in which the "militant priests" finally show up. I love the original descriptions you use. (Example, "militant priests") Bye for now!

The old woman has unusual logic, amusing and mostly true all in its own way. I was a bit confused when I read this line. "Good, at least someone understood why I looked like a confounded buffoon." Maybe I missed something, but I didn't understand why he looked like a "confounded buffoon," or how someone understood why he looked that way...Hmm, oh well.

I love your humour! I can't remember how many times I smiled reading this chapter, but it was a lot. So now we meet the crazy woman, and he's taking her to his house. This should be interesting.

A promising beginning. The prologue was interesting, and it caught my attention right away. I do agree with Osunale's review about describing the old lady's clothing. Although the line did give me a strong image, I don't see how her clothing style has anything to do with being a prophet or not. On another note, I did love the last line. (false start) ^_^

bwahaha! I have finally found an effective threat (grins evilly) Ahahaha, no. I am SO HAPPY that you updated! It made my crappy day better! Seriously! I can't remember what the hero's name is...I'm probably just being ditzy (there's a cheerleader near me on my bus and I think it's contagious) but if you could use it at some point in the next chapter, that'd be marvelous. The last three lines made me laugh out loud -- the rest of the time I was just grinning like an idiot.
