Safira 2/1/06 . chapter 1This work of yours Maisha, is a thoughtful piece that touches on the intriguing subject of technology and societal relationships. Isn’t it ironic that the technology of our century should facilitate a ‘global village’, and yet also distance one from others they know in the flesh? But it is also a remarkable thing that deep relationships can be nurtured through cyber reality. To provide relief when our daily reality denies us it – a “sweet fantasy being held in space secure”. Relationships over the internet are perhaps more ‘easier’ than those in real life, because of the absence of contextual and social cues. This is definitely an intriguing piece of haiku. Well done! Cheers – Autumn. |
