I have to admit I avoided fictonpress for a while because for quite some time I couldn't find anything quality to my tastes on it but I do think you've acquired a new fan. Your writing style is well practiced and your story really has depth for a one shot. You really have a chance to get to know the characters and while the title gives way to a feeling of death through the whole thing its still not blatantly obvious until the end. An enjoyable read. Thank you so much for sharing it.

Sysi 2006-06-27 ch 1,	abuseThe atmosphere of this story is magnificent. All the little things that build it - and still I managed not to foresee the ending. (Even though when Max said that "It's almost behind us" line, the story reminded me of an urban legend about a guy who picked up a hitchhiker, who turned up to be a ghost.)
