Etenebris 2005-11-18 . chapter 1Holy mother of...Well, actually, Holy Mother would be more appropriate here. I love how you begin this story as kind of a legend. Not many people can do that and get away with it without being flamed (by moi). Of course, you are one of the few exceptions to this rule. Very well done. Aren't I a suckup? Very nice story, very nice. *soliciting*readmystoryDarkThings*endsoliciting*I love the story. Sounds an awful lot like my mom. A fierce protecter of her children, no matter the cost. Unless it's a cup of coffee. Then we're screwed. |
Alteng 2005-11-01 . chapter 1This was well done in the genre. I can see this story as a folktale indeed. |
bjw 2005-10-29 . chapter 1Whoa. It's so chilling. It really emphasises the lengths a mother will go for her children... Nice detail about her injuries - it was kind of horrific, but it added poignance to your story. Ha, there's the power of maternal love! Hehe. It's very good writing, do keep posting!:) |
Ballerina with a Gun 2005-10-12 . chapter 1Oh. My. God.
This was so tragic. I love how you portrayed the fierce maternal desire to protect her own...although tragic, and horrifyingly gruesome, it was also beautiful and sweet.
You wrote it rather cut-and-dry, however; little detail, and you wrote abruptly. But, in a way, it kind of adds to the flavor.
I liked it. Very much. Very good job. |
Fallen-Angelus 2005-10-09 . chapter 1short and not very desprictive not really my kind of story after all |
Moon Drops 2005-09-28 . chapter 1Odd...It's a nice idea, and if it wasn't a 'legend', then I would have recommended that you expand on the ideas a bit more. Because it's a legend, you should put more significance into the mother dying, like that it demonstrates the love she had for her children.
But anyway...I do like how you describe the injuries the mother aquired. Quite interesting. ^_~ |
 Etan Lawok 2005-09-28 . chapter 1nice story. |
Notepad 2005-09-27 . chapter 1Short and descriptive. One heck of a beginning. Man, what a brutal way to go. Poor woman. Can't wait to see how she works beyond the grave. |
