This is very ingenious, although it's easy to realize the "Ice Age" reference in the second stanza. Despite that, I find it very original.

This is one of my favourites of your works, definitely. It has great movement and such eagerness mixed in with desperation.I couldn't help but be reminded of the scrat from Ice Age :)totally awesome, the contrasts are fitting and well entwined, and I love the hoping at the end.write more so I can read them!
