'he wrote lover letters in the place of rings' - is a gorgeous line entirely but I adore the 'masquerade politics' line the whole ending line following that, too. it is simply gorgeous.

it crashed at me. 'he wrote lover letters in place of rings' ...what an amazing line. it keeps repeating in my head over and over. 'like a mad man/laced on broken things' it makes me think of sadness tied to tragedy. is one really possible witohut the other? they seem to go hand-inohand, as if they are lovers...anyway-sorry. Very nice job.
