Initially, I was drawn to it because of the marijuana plotline, but was delighted to find social, religious and political consequences being examined as well. Good god, though, the scenario you portray gives me the shits. No pot?! Tobacco next on the chopping block?! (shit, that's even worse than no pot. Ten times worse since you wouldn't have EITHER of them) Fundamentalists in charge?! What could possibly be worse? I tell you what man, New Zealand (where I live) would be screwed. Tonnes of people smoke pot here (something like 50-80%) and our society would fall over! Not to mention all our fast food places going out of business. And to make matters worse, we have our own scary fundamentalist group (whose leader looks spookily like Jim Jones of the Jonestown Massacre infamy). But I digress... I really liked how in the story you subtly did away with many misconceptions about marijuana (how it encourages crime, how it makes people crazy (as opposed to sane like it does me) etc etc). I also liked how you tied fear into fundamentalism...one of the main reasons why I think (sociologically) people turn to rigid doctrines. Too many people lose sight of the concept when they get caught up in the "right/wrong" argument that often arises as soon as fundamentalism is mentioned. I've been ranting on about this story to my friends ever since I first started reading it. It was well written, amusing, thought provoking and just damn awesome. I thought, maybe some minor social and political repercussions, exaggerated to add drama, but this dealt with many different aspects. I was going to say something else, but I forgot what. Mad props, yo!

Darket 2005-11-10 ch 7,	abuseGreat. This is a lot different (I think) from the version in Flashback. Both are great. I thought 420 Blight was just scary as hell. What if all the pot dried up? I don't want to go back to cocaine. Pot's just so much more fun than coke. Shrooms- weird. Ecstasy- Fun in every way. Greatr job so far.
Darket 2005-10-31 ch 1,	abuseI've already read this. But, I"m going to see if you added more stuff. I remember this story from Flashback, and it's good. Advanced praise, this is one of the most oddball stories I've ever read. And, It was damn good.
