Cheers, to a nice thing to read. I liked the way you described the mermaids, with the eeriness of someone who has actually seen them. So nice. I like the suicide and how the story continues past it, even if only for a line or two. I've always wondered about suicide through flinging though. Do you feel the pain from the impact, do you feel your head bounce off the pavement, or does it all just go black. To bad no one's been there and come back. With the guillotine, what's it like to live for that second when your head is disconnected? Perhaps we'll never know, die of some cancer in some tacky lying hospital. Too bad, I'd like to have a chance at flying, who knows, I might make it?
