This story is alot of fun to read! i think it is very well written, especialy for the fantasy genre. There is a particualr way of writing for fantasy, like the words chosen, the way things are described, and you capture them perfectly. I like the entire story so far but this chapter in particular; Samuel's speech about his feelings was so well written it could have come straight out of a movie! I really think it captures the whole theme you have set up here. Awsome job so far, I can't wait to see what comes next. (a dragon, you say? exciting!) good luck and thanks for entertaining me with an excellent piece of fiction. ;D

I was trying to see whether you had any other stories you'd updated lately, and I find this! I love the new version, though I am a bit sad it is this far behind... But! no it's a cliffhanger involving a dragon!

damnit! i stressed in my last review, the 1 4 "Taking These Chances", how much i admire u & love ur writing style & ur stories, ur ideas, etc, etc. the same still stands 4 this story. it has blown me away & left me positively addicted. i cannot wait 4 the new chapter(s), i am in love with the characters - i have a soft spot in my heart 4 cynical characters with hidden afection just benneath the surface. so, i hope u read reviews & have just a /tinsy/ bit of sympathy 4 my craving & addicted need 4 ur story - (disregard the shorthand, it's just 2 save space). with much love & admiration, i remain ur faithful fanatic,

I've read the original version of this story and I'll admit that I had my doubts about this revamped version. I didn't think you could improve it and saw no need to.

Luckily, curiosity got the better of me and I just had to check it out. I must say that I am very impressed with how this turned out to be!

Wonderfully written, refreshingly original!

Merrin is just too cute

ah, i do believe i adore this version more than the first, if only for the rather heated advancement of thier 'relationship' in and of itself. i think the first was more amusing, but that just might be time removed playing tricks on me. oh well.

That last conversation between the boys killed me, it really did. Merrin and Samuel are probably my favorite out of all your characters. Every line of dialouge they have together either sets me off giggling or, in the case of the last conversation, makes me "Eep!" loudly enough to alarm the family in the apartment next door. I really, really, really love the way Merrin and Samuel's relationship keeps evolving while some things remain the same ("And there’s nothing like Samuel at his most innocent to irritate me beyond all hope of peace." -- definitely my favorite line in the chapter).

Overall a completely beyond fantastic chapter. I'm definitely looking forward to the next!
