...Wow. Tish suggested that I read this story, seeing as I'm trying to write a couple (a lot) of ghost stories for this one fanfic I'm working on. I can't seem to understand the concept of a short ghost story, but I guess I'm getting it, slowly but surely.

All around creepy tale, highly appropriate for the Halloween season! Well-written, suspenseful, and a good lesson to all us parents. I think I'll send it to my friend who tells her son that the Bell Witch will come after him in the night if he fibs.

Ya know, I keep reading "Beer Lake Monster". Makes the whole going to the cooler in the dark thing a whole lot more understandable.

The crickets and birds and monkeys going silent in the trees is a frightening touch. And mumsey seems a tad selfish, so that's a very good rendition there.

Thing is, wouldn't the kids have gotten it?
