However, I must point out, being the Aussie that I am, that maybe your knowledge of Australia could have been a bit better? lol. I loved the mention of watching out for the wildlife. lol. Unlike in America, we don't have that many predators. We have crocodiles and sharks. And for the most part, they're hardly listed in accordance with any deaths. lol. Not to worry, I'm sure when I write about America, I don't quite get it right. It just amused me. lol. Once again, great story. | ShadowYellowEyes 2005-10-31 ch 12, | abuseI am impressed. This story does feel compressed, and there could be a bit more emotion packed into this. This is a very emotional story, but when you described the rape scene, I know you didn't want to go too far into depth with it (I mean, ick) but you could have mentioned more of the emotions. Right now, it feels like he pinned her down and she twisted out of it before anything could happen. When I found out she was pregnant, it was a bigger surprise, because I never thought there had actually been rape. Just freaking her out. So, suggestions: go further in depth with emotions, and that will take away the compressed feeling as well. But I really like this plot. I'm thinking marriage is the end? As most romance stories don't end with a marriage, it would be filling a hole in the stories, which is exactly what a writer is supposed to do. And I'm glad to hear your grandmother is feeling okay. My mother recently had melanoma, but they caught it early enough to save her with two surgeries and some grafts. (She claims Reader's Digest saved her life; apparently, it told her to pay attention to the strange discoloration that was the beginning cancer).
