Puzzling, at best. *frowns* I've given this a bit of thought but those two bits don't seem to go well with the rest of the poem, i.e. I don't get what they're doing here.
The second verse is much more in keeping with the mood prevalent in this piece - depressing and slightly disturbing, almost suicidal. And oh, how can I forget: angry. The anger, wow.
I really like the second verse. There is an image there that keeps on appearing in my mind: the knife and the flower tied to the end of a string bracelet, hanging off of a wrist... maybe not what you intended, but that's what I got from it.
