I've experienced this myself, having been in theater. The panic you feel right before and then you're there and they are watching you, and it's all you.

That was an amazing job of describing something without saying much. It's the type of poem some people might look at and go huh? I don't get it. And other people go woah! let me read it again! Which is what I did. Awesome job.
