Potions, Tonics, Droughts; I love it all! But yeah, this chapter has been exceedingly entertaining in every genre, it was almost horrifying and made my heart rate beat noticably faster, it was mildly humorous "I hate you" (lol I don't think he even needed that tonic to get that out of her) I bet she'd love to have instead given him a potion containing Belladonna, Hemlock, and/or Henbane XD, and it ended with a kind of tragic note. I applaud you. Just two things I thought a tad confusing was that, for one, Mr. Bowden "looked up" to see Ilaria, and I'm curious as to whether that implies that Ilaria is taller than him, or that he simply "looked up to the doorway". and another thing was that Adella was a "deer in headlights"

Now this particular story appears to have alot of potential, I for one enjoy the slow but sure character developement. As opposed to explaining their motives and mentality right then and there, very little is hinted toward them, especially Adella. I love that your story has a Leprechaun in it, I don't see those included in very many stories. Irish Pride! The whole "mysterious hybrid" idea, I like alot. And we've got a Wizard! yay! *approves* Now this brings me to my first question: Does this story include very many references to Alchemy? Considering Adella had mixed in Essence of Alabaster for Mr. Bowden, I just wonder if perhaps the use of possibly Bladderwack, Bracken, Echinacea, Sage, Uva Ursa, or possibly even Yew come into play? The only other thing that I'm curious of is as to what Alexander's appearance consists of besides being young and having blue eyes? But yeah, I like how the story's flowing, not too much revealed to keep me interested, not too much hidden so I don't get lost. ^_^

What is Adella's other half?? It must be something unique to make her so determined to not want to reveal it, and to be her destruction...I wonder why it's so secret.

Mr. Bowen's magical lineage and powers are definitely interesting, and the banshee...hm. Quite the bunch of interesting characters you've assembled.

Adella's fight against the potion was suspenseful, and I liked her more for keeping on fighting against it, even though she thought it would definitely overpower her will.

Is Katie a slave? She seems too bold, and maybe I was confused, but I thought she was another slave...or is there something between them?

This is a cool beginning--I like the idea of Adella's hybrid nature being a mystery, and important. I also like the name Adella, it's pretty :)

Mr. Bowen doesn't seem that bad, but arrogant definitely, and I don't exactly know what his motives are, and want to keep reading to find out.

The leprechaun and his gold was quite amusing, and Adella's calm acceptance of it all also helped me know something about her character.

Is Katie something more than what she seems...that part with Mr. Bowen, and her asking if he blabbed seemed a little, hinting, to me, and added some more mystery. Nice start!

I like the way that you had Adella fighting the obedience potion, and yet at times couldn't help but slip some information out.

Ilaria is fascinating, and a very fun character. I am curious as to whether or not she actually knows the lycanthrope or if it is just one of her personality traits, kind of like the "kind race" in this world.

I am very intrigued. From what you've posted so far it seems as though the world in the story has extreme prejudices to certain races, wizards, for some reason being one of them.

Adella is a very interesting protagonist. She seems to be very strong willed and yet knows when she has crossed the line. The way she was with Awdin was amusing, poor guy thinking someone stole his gold.
