Corelli 2005-12-14 . chapter 1you're right, he'll always be there. sometimes i feel this way, but i always reach a point where i need Him so much that he's always there. keep hoping and praying he'll find you again! |
Lakoria 2005-11-15 . chapter 1That's deep. I love the line "I cry out, but my cry echoes back; unheard?" I have felt that way so many times it's not even funny. It's like my prayer was returned to sender or I got a busy signal. It's then I realize how far away from God I am and how I need to be closer. Good job, keep it up!
I would love to read more of your poems if you could get some more up. They really are very good work!
God bless, Lakoria |
silentescape 2005-11-15 . chapter 1 Eh...okay, I found out the trick to get rid of double spacing...take the second line, combine it with the first into one great jumble, then hit shift...then right after that hit enter. It doesn't work if you do it at the same time...just do shift and then enter. Thought you might want to know. Anyway...keep writing! God bless, silent. |
Lowell Boston 2005-11-09 . chapter 1One of the hardest things about faith is if there is a God, where is he? Especially in a world where there's so much hardship and violence. From this one may question their faith, or question the existence of God as strictly portrayed by a given religion. There are gaps, there are questions, and few answers. For some this is the beginning of an epiphany - a realization that there may be more to God than we can know. I also wanted to say thanks for the review of my poem, The Designer. To address your question the poem was my response to the Intelligent Design idea (sorry, but I won't dignify it by calling it a theory - it's not). ID states that the Universe is so complex that it must have been created by a higher power - a designer, yet there is no mention of 'who' this designer is (though it is implied that it is God). My poem challenges this notion that if this idea is true the Designer could be anyone - or thing. In my case the Designer is a she, who has created everything, yet since things 'can't' evolve - change or grow, there would be nothing for Her to do once everything was created. Thus the fallacy of Intelligent Design.
Sorry for this long review and discussion, but your profile didn't didn't have an E-mail attachment. |
The Postscript 2005-11-03 . chapter 1Beautiful...thanks for letting me know about this one! I enjoyed reading it as always, and it's filled with a great message too. Keep writing for Him! God bless, silent. |
 J. N. Laerasyn 2005-11-02 . chapter 1Your writing is very honest and sincere. The last line, especially, I thought was powerful. Your rhyming is sometimes a little forced- sounding, so work on that- otherwise very well writen. I know that feeling so well, man- and seriously, it sucks. But the thing about faith is that you're not always on a mountiantop, and we just don't always "feel" God. It's not any sign of a fualt in our faith- it's just the one of the many things that suck about living in a fallen world. Sometimes you intelectual knowledge of god has to be enough. When we get through it, we always come out stronger. We've all been there. Keep writing about it- it's a good way to work it out. :-) |
