I think it's good, but not really "newspaper" material. Of course, I don't know anything about your school paper, but assuming it is similiar to mine, it wouldn't be published.

It isn't that it's bad writing because it certainly is, it's just that it is too religious for me or my co-editor to let it be published. Also, the second paragraph is too focused on you. Editorials are opinionated, but they use "we" instead of "I" and "us" instead of "me". They're making a statement from the general public or a certain group, not one person. It could be printed as an opinion piece though.

Anyway, I think you did really great with this. It's very well-written and has little spots of humor in it that lighten the mood.

And just because you might not believe in God doesnt make this article worthless: whether you do or you don't, it means in the end, it doesnt matter how 'flawless' you are to society's standrads, being pretty is about accepting yourself. It's not jut about God finding you beutiful, its about you looking at yourself and finding you beautiful.

Okay this is not a column you should not put this in the fiction section. And do not go thinking you are making a difference by saying all that crap, do you really think that if someone calls you ugly you can just say " Oh well God won't think so". Puhlease. And you are right in one way, you cannot complain if you are a size 0!
