Live Lyfe For Him 09 2006-03-06 . chapter 1 I really like this. It's a nice moral for a story, and I completely agree with you on the points you made throughout. Great job with your descriptions and images too! :) |
maxnotevoltage 2006-02-19 . chapter 1"Sometimes the hardest thing to believe is the truth" - so... TRUE. Perhaps we think that we know what's best for ourselves? It's hard to comprehend the idea that, by letting go of what we know and love, we will receive something even greater. We can't imagine the "soft landing" that God is providing for us, because God's ways are not bound by human imagination.
Those are just the thoughts I was having while reading this piece. It's extremely well-written! It's nice to read a good, thought-provoking work every once in a while. I enjoyed the imagery of the aluminum bar and "white knuckles." Letting go is scary, but we must do it somehow...
Keep up the awesome work, and never stop writing for Him! -- J.max |
Gbob 2005-11-27 . chapter 1 You know, I have a piece with the same title, only it's about a girl. (What isn't?) But I like this one, it's very vivid. AT first I Thought you were going to say that it was somehow connected to doing pull-ups or something with the whole bar metaphor, anyway, really good! |
Wombat Wanda 2005-11-27 . chapter 1Wow. I like how it's so personal, but it's a subject I think we all can relate to. We all have something we have to let go of, and I think you brought up the thoughts and fears we generally have beautifully. I hope there's a sequel. |
