Reviews For: The Story of Michael Higgins
Made in Britain 2006-05-04 . chapter 4
I enjoyed this, it is a touching tribute to your Great Uncle and all those that fought in The Great War. You did a wonderful job in capturing the horror and futility of war and portrayed it with true historical accuracy, from the birth of chemical and tank warfare to as you point out "industrialized" killing. My Great Uncle who fought against the Japs at Burma in WWII would talk of "50,0 dead before breakfast at the Somme" with great reverence so this story brought back memories, thanks for sharing it.
