I can see the metaphor about life. But I can see where it could be about slavery. -shrugs- I'm an equal opportunist that way.

On an academic level this poem is well written. On a personal level it can be realated to so many people I know, the kind of person that wants to just get up and leave. (Sorry if I'm reading to much into this.) ^_^;
