| Matthew James Current 2006-05-08 ch 1, | abuseWow you are very talented. Lovely work here. You should write more piece like this. I say the experiment was a success. |
| LordK 2006-01-29 ch 1, | abuseBeautiful, again. These images are so great, and so easy to follow. Lovely, lovely poetry. The third stanza especially is wonderful. In the way I read it, the stress was on "a" rather than "new" in "The world, all anew", but I'm being nitpicky because I'd like to offer you some kind of criticism, out of gratitude. And once again, it probably still fits perfectly. Great poem, again. |
| Teigra Michaels 2006-01-05 ch 1, | abuseBecause I have been wake and watched the sun rise, I can visualise exactly what it is you are saying. Your poem has let me relive that memory, thank you. |
| Joelle Duran 2006-01-03 ch 1, | abuseThis is fantastic! Lovely rhyme and meter in this, not to mention the imagery. I especially loved the'The world, all anew//Greets me with a virginal shiver' I'm not good at critting poetry, but it seems like 'O'er the flowers he lingers' will fit better with the other second lines if you chose to strike the 'the.' Regardless, just beautiful! |
| Kat-Renee Kittel 2005-12-05 ch 1, | abuseI love the gently strong imagery of this, especially "beneath the moist dew the world, all anew," and "O'er the flowers he lingers with fondling fingers. It's like a sweet love story that brings my heart hope enough to welcome the day. Have you read my Rainy Day Memory poem? It reminds me of the imagery of this one, save mine is shorter. I liked your hobbies--"stalking opera singers (okay maybe not)." That gave me a good laugh. I like Bernstien, too. I have his Chichester Psalms. A friend of mine sang the Psalms in the local symphony performance (Wichita, Ks). Would you happen to live in New York, perchance? -Katie. |

| cbeyerle 2005-11-18 ch 1, | abuseI'm sorry. Something about this poem made me feel a little strange...don't get me wrong - this is a fairly good poem - it definately rises above a lot of what I see on Fiction Press...but it gave me a very odd feeling of...something.Keep it up. I love it. |
