Wow this is a haunting little piece. Especially the lines about the "tiny hand", and the baby's giggles and coos. I just melt when I read poetry about babies. And this is so sad... Very well-done, you really packed an emotional punch into this poem!

Ooh a shiver ran down my spine reading that! Yet I can't pinpoint why exactly that was. Was it the haunting echoes of the incident which destroyed the house? The intricate details on things like a childs crib? Or maybe it was the sudden 'appearance' of a speaker at the end? Either way, a well written piece! I honestly think the only word to truely describe it is 'haunting'. Good description, it created images in my mind without forcing them there. Great stuff, I enjoyed reading it.

Became a home

-I like the concept of memories making a home rather then people, or time, or even life. Just the thought and recognition. I think memories can make you hate something just as much as it can make you love it.
