I really, really love the relationship that ragnhildr and nagesa have with each other. you've done really well with portraying a believable and deep friendship, and I honestly actually appreciate it. I wonder what happened to Nagesa while she was with Morcar? also, the scene where Ragnhildr is having her vision was REALLY intense. great work with the writing there! I could almost taste the 'drink' she made too... ew. sorry it took me so long to come review! p.s. so sorry for the confusion with pennames... I'm kind of a flake. I deleted Talia because I really just need to edit it a bit more before it's available for everyone to read :) I will definitely finish. I've never left a story to just rot D:

I think... this was a fab chapter... so where did ragnhildr run off too? I think you did well at showing what life was like now that she was back at home. edwin's behavior is very interesting? And the chapter comes to a poignant end with a mention of King Arthur :D gosh I love him. great work. I feel like we're back in familiar territory, somehow. not that the grossness of battle was unfamiliar at this point, but you know... I feel a little relaxed. I don't think Ragnhildr herself would really agree, but you know.

You're honestly quite professional and if you are thinking about writing to be published, I would tell you to go for it. Interesting exchanges between Ragnhildr and Wihtgar... I wonder what if there is any hope for a future between them? ooh, and I just saw your PM. we're sort of near the end! that's amazing. I imagine it'll still be a while before this is complete, but a part of me just can't wait to see what happens. ...while the other part of me wants this story to go on forever... oh dear.

Not that that is an excuse really since I would still have been behind... ;) What can I say? I always like your writing. There are a handful of authors on this site who, when I see a new story or new chapter having been uploaded, I know I'll enjoy. And you are most definately one of them. You have a great writing style, a believable and interesting plot, real characters and good descriptons. I am looking forward to reading more. Keep up the good work.

Probably just cause they aren't run of the mill modern english names. Which is good, the more authenticity the better. i really like this. cheers Arre

I have to say, I love the comparison between herself and Odin, and the missing eye thing. I've often thought about it, but I don't think you so specifically stated it before. well, maybe you have. I'm really sleepy from studying so I might not be making much sense here. (“One of the hardest things is remaining dutiful to things that haven’t been dutiful to you,” I said finally. Wihtgar probably thought I meant Edwin, but I was thinking of England itself as well. The country, with its hard, foul soil in Mercia and wet bogs in East Anglia, was a stubborn land, filled with Saxons who hated me. But I would fight for it still. I made an oath to England somewhere along the way. I wouldn’t break it now.) this is such a beautiful couple of paragraphs. seriously, I read it over and over until I made myself stop. I also have OCD tendencies, so maybe that's part of it, but still. I really, really liked it. she's got it REALLY hard in life and I can't help but think that I would have jumped ship and just run away! I feel bad... when they return, she'll have to keep her distance from him? that... sucks. all right, thanks for the update :)

But something always seems to happen and i never quite get around to it. but, atlast here i am, have started and am intrigued. reckon that it might take me a while though. I really like it so far, names all seem very saxon and the setting sounds believable. and your characters have personalities not just names. You have no idea how good it is to read stuff like that online :)

Other things... lets see... OH cyneric. I was waiting for you to mention him again. I honestly hope we haven't seen the last of him... I think she and wihtgar are good together though, and I think you illustrate that well. As far as upping the rating, I think you might still be good, but I'm not really sure... as you know, in my own story I hardly even hinted at sex, and therefore side stepped the issue entirely. Mostly because I had no idea about ratings and things. another great chapter :)

Written 2008-03-17 ch 64,	abuseFirst off, I just wanted to say THANK YOU for updating so soon. You have no idea how excited I got to read this chapter. You did an excellent job with the energy in this chapter, and I could honestly almost SEE the scene at the spring. it was amazing. there were so many beautiful lines that I would basically copy and paste your entire chapter in here, so I won't so that, but yeah, you had some AWESOME descriptions going on. I loved the part where she looks at the woad designs and also when he washes her hair... how cool was that part? very cool. Wihtgar is just. Yeah, amazing. I love the part where he explains that she doesn't have to be beautiful to be worth something. (She felt close with him, as though they shared some profound thing that filled the hollowed, missing parts of their bodies. ) beautiful. I am so... excited to read the next chapter. I'm way too giddy to be reviewing, as you might be able to tell. I read in your author note that you've been doing revisions. how much have you done? how many chapters are left? great chapter! keep up the awesome work.
