This is a great story! It has a deep message, and I like how you waited until the end to reveal it. And then, you didn't reveal it fully - you left it up to the reader to make what he wants of it. That's commendable! Stories like this are difficult (it's hard to make them believable sometimes), but you wrote this very well. Awesome job:-)

This is really sweet. Leaves you feeling...happy. My favorite line is "He had a briefcase/She had an ipod." Captures the contrast between them nicely.

The only thing I really see wrong with it is that the "phantom/child/angel/etc teaches a jaded businessman to enjoy life again" plot is a bit clicheed. I'd recommend tweaking the context or the ending to make it more original. Stylistically it's great though.
