The first stanza, I don't know--I can't even explain it, there are no words, but immediately, a picture comes to to my mind. This is a really amazing poem. It's tragic, but almost not quite at the same time--because it's like they don't even realize what's happening to them (they don't even see the tragedy, I guess). I don't know. I'm at a loss for words--it's just that beautiful. |
