Very moving considering the length! I know I shouldn't have, but I kept picturing Titanic in my head, with the rowboat fiasco and the intense sense of loneliness despite the people around. ...I kind of want to read a story about the little boy with the golden curls, twenty or thirty years from now, remembering the courage of a loving mother.

it's really sad of what a mother would do for her children. i like the bit where the man promises that he'll take care of Aden. and the last line of her dieing.

Sad, yet noble. i liked little Aden a lot, though.

This was nicely written, and the last line in particular was a little chilling.
