Wow, I've never seen a poem like this before. You and your heart talking...interesting.

"In the depths of sorrow we are stained with suffering."

"Giving our struggles meaning."

Amazing. Something that I've always thought. I liked the style it was unique and interesting. It also fit well with the poem. Which is, of course, the point of it all.

The answer to "But why does it hurt so much?" really hit home for me.

Only comment... spacing is funny because of the quote marks. Perhaps use italics to indicate different speakers instead?

Hello Mathew, I like how you're experimenting with different styles. As I've said before, I like your longer, more descriptive pieces. Even so, this is very sad and well done. Keep writing, I miss your poetry.
