Reviews For: A Gentle Sigh
Keith Anthony Power Campbell 2006-07-09 . chapter 1
*Looks up to make sure none of this went over my head*. Hmm, I must say, first time anyone has ever directly asked my opinion, I feel as if though I must deliver some really solid Ebert & Roeper stuff here. What this poem really did for me was give some very detailed imagery. The actions of the poem were almost being painted on a picture as the poem progressed. For the last two paragraphs though, it sort of shifts and I feel that I am within the mind of the narrator now really viewing the scene in first person. The emotion at the end is very powerful, I can feel both the happiness of the dream and the sadness of knowing it for being just a dream. Somewhat simliar to my poem The Beautiful Night, but much more intense. I think this is marvelous writing, and am honoured that you value my input. I hope I offered something of value to you in my review.

Okay, this poem is really quick sexy. As I'm sure was intended, but you did a beautiful job. Absolutely gorgeous description.

Apologies if my review seemed rude. It wasn't intended to be. (the point I was trying to get across is being constantly reminded of the official-ness or whatever just distracts.)

Though I doubt if kids would understand this. I wonder.

Neway, liked most of your works.. It would kill me to read and review each of 'em. Spare me.

P.S. I'm fourth degree burn's sister.

Temperate breeze

So calming

Yet so exotic

-I like the comparison of both calming and exotic. Like being at one with both; it’s a powerful position.

Shadows dance a tango

Over every part of you,

-This whole piece is so jazzy; like I could imagine someone singing these words in a nightclub back in the 30s. One of those highly poetical dives where you can’t see five feet in front of you because of the cigarette smoke but the sound and sight of it is so strong that you’ll never forget it. Well done.

Juliet.
