I actually kind of miss Xanga.

Please accept my most humble and grateful thanks for persuading me to back away from the "Create Account!" button. When all your friends are Xangafied it becomes increasingly difficult to convince yourself to Just Say No, and thusly do I thank you for giving me the support a person in my position needs so desperately.

PS The voice and tone of this peice are really quite well done. Exahustingly long and pretentious sentences can be hard to do.

Aughh. This is fabulous. This is just such a great piece of work. It's perfect...! In fact, I must add it to my faves... it's one of the best pieces of writing I've read in a long time!!As usual (wait, you don't know me...) I have never laughed so hard in my life! (Well, maybe once, but that's a long story.) You have ingeniously put Xanga into it's proper stereotype: under the category "Waste of Time." I would list quotes I was especially impressed by, but this review would wind up being a slightly shorter version of your essay/fictiony thing, so better to say if you'd like to know what I liked about it, reread what you wrote. Clever, well-worded, certainly humorous, etc. [Insert praise here.] I'll be reading more from you.

I especially loved the part about "lolz", "we chylld dis weeknd", "omgz itz so weerd i tink dat mayb im dum" they got the biggest laught out of me. And the color of the text. Hahah!

Not hilarious...just enlightening, but not overbearing. The ratio was perfect. I did know what a xanga is, and yet I still am weary with such a site. My older sister discovered a guy who was just short of stalking her wrote detailed plans on his love and such, including his attire to dances and so on. It would come to me as great embarrassment if this is what the world was reading about me on such a site. Then there are the threats of suicide and online bullying that takes place that no website moderator could easily deal with. Yet the innocent always get caught up in that "Create Account!" button, never realizing just how many people (and who) might be reading what they post. Yet there is another part of my mind that echoes we can only pray fp will not succumb to these disorganized sites with teenagers too caught up in the web to notice the world around them.

Funny story is... a girl I know recommended I make a Xanga, after telling her I made an MSN Space. :P

Pretty interesting read, not luahg out loud funny mind you, but definitely a good piece of time well spent. ^^

Wow...you know, I had a Xanga account once. It was a creepy experience, especially when I discovered that I was the only caucasian on an Asian site. Creepy...

:) I just loved this. My favorite part was joining various inner-cults (a.k.a. ‘Blogrings’), and basically mucking through life attempting to find and create things to write about in this newly acquired Xanga. Why? Because the blogring thing was just clever, and because I feel as if the second part is kind of actually true! This was fun to read, I really enjoyed it.
