 R. 2006-01-24 . chapter 1 I read this poem yesterday. No review, of course, but I also read all of the flames that Robin she-dog wrote -- and I swear to all that is chic and Greenday that I had *had* the perfect review for this one! Like, a whole rant that was sharp and witty against uber-dumbo flamers, as well as another part with an insightful analysis of the diction, connotation, and twisted reality of this poem.
But I forgot it.
So, um, you'll have to make do with this one. =)

Abby Lou 2006-01-17 . chapter 1This is very William Carlos Williams "Red Wheelbarrow"-ish. My only suggestion is actually probably kind of silly, but I think it would look cool if you had the layout set as center-justified.
So I'm a freak, reviewing a second of your pieces. *grin* What can I say? The title caught my eye.

Robin Siskin 2006-01-04 . chapter 1Haha. This made me laugh. If you're going to express heinous opinions in your poetry, at least make it good poetry. If you have to provide an author's note to explain the meaning of your poem, you've failed.
And the meaning wasn't even that great. Who said that it's America's job to meddle in the affairs of other countries? Most Americans would be happier if we didn't. The war in Iraq is one good example. If we didn't meddle with other countries, bad stuff wouldn't happen. Pearl Harbor only happened because we cut off supplies to Japan. |
