| Lines To Time 2006-01-08 ch 1, | abuseYou create this atmosphere so perfectly-- so very bleak and hopeless, it's heartwrenching. I don't know how you made this character seem so real, but I feel such empathy for him, fictional though he may be. I hope you never feel like this, lovey! Marvelous poem, as per usual :-P. |
| clockwork kiss 2006-01-06 ch 1, | abuseoh wow. the last line was so completely amazing. i can't believe how you painted an entire history in so few words. this was beautiful ! and so, so sad, but wonderful just the same... i could never tell a whole story in verse without making it sound like an ugly summary. the way you write is so concise, so it's incredibly effective when you slip in a slightly strange adjective, like "her devouring plaid skirt". i'm completely jealous of your talent. i'm so disappointed that you have so few reviews. you are definitely a great poet. this is favorited. |
| Chandra-Moon 2006-01-06 ch 1, | abuseYou're poetry is so complex--how are you so intelligent? It's thoughtful and contemplative, but in an approachable way, that allows you to enter the character in the poem and think the way they think. Is this semi-autobiographical? Just because I know you live in Englad, and I believe you have some place in France you visit alot? Or something like that. Nonetheless, the is so interesting. I'm probably way off base, but for me, this was about denying your past. The whole childhood by the opera, with the artists that "invaded the city", which the narrator wants nothing to do with--wants to deny completely. Which is something I can relate to; I think everyone knows what it's like to want to change your past. This is a rambling review, but as you can tell, I liked this poem. But everything you write is perfection. |
