You have an interesting rhythm and style. I don't read much Stephen King, so I don't actually know what story this is refering to, but I think it's good. I might like it better if I knew the background, but still feels true-hearted and gracefully written.

Thanks for reviewing Starting; I really appreciate it.

Beautiful. I can't say it brings a particular SK book to mind but then again if it's from Shawshank Redemption as someone else suggested, I haven't read it. But that doesn't matter. It's lovely as a stand alone piece. I love the simple images in it "I’d forgotten what/Fresh sheets feel like/Against my skin," is my particular favourite, I think it's a brilliantly strong start to the poem. I love your writing as ever. Full of emotion and feeling :) Great work X

I haven't read Stephen King in years but he was also quite a favorite of mine...(now my head is buried in the classics) - nice tone, you can feel a sense of admiration coming across (sorry for my absence) I am buried in work at the moment
Dying Rose 2006-01-13 . chapter 1
This is a really cool poem and very well written. Though the end is not definite, it is hopeful and somehow I see a happy ending here. The wording is, as usual with your work, wonderful. Great job!

I've had my share of Stephen King's stories, but I just can't put my finger on this one. Oh well, maybe Shawshank Redemption, as stated by your other reviewer. Anyways, I love the descriptions in this, it gave me quite a sensual, yet silently threatening feeling. Good job.

Shawshank Redemption, right? I really enjoyed the poem, very solid.
