This is beautiful in the sense that it pulls at your heartstrings and makes you smile and want to cry at the same time.

I like the... the ambiguity of the story. The way you don't tell us if they're still together. I think that's the clincher here.

I also love the imagery - vivid and colorful.

Definitly not a mainstream story. It's different. I liked it this way. It made your story unique but I think it could be classified as free form poetry and fit better. Still, very good.
