I feel like you really did capture a wonderful moment here. This poem has such a realization quality toward it--looking at the world with new and almost childlike eyes (but at the same time, it's so worldly and adult-like). The beginning is entrancing, and the ending is almost heartbreaking, but somehow it seems like it shouldn't be (but maybe that's just me). Good work. |
