Immortal Nyght 2006-01-25 . chapter 1If you don't know the truth, I do. Such a great sense of love and emotion and the pain that is love. I will pull you close as "we open our old wounds" and as I hold your hand and soul, I don't intend to let go. You say in this though, "Let me bleed your soul/With deep cuts/And fill the wounds with salt" but I'm not sure if the salt is meant to heal or hurt more, though each is accompanied by the other always in the dualism that is our lives and souls. "Why must we die/To survive?" That you asked and I love the way it is phrased, because in terms of love, one can only live for love once one is prepared to die for love. And how can one live at all if they always run from death. Face death and destruction. James Dean said "Dream as though you'll live forever; live as though you'll die today" which is a statement that accompanies many of the themes in your writing and your life. This poem especially goes with it, though that might be said with a quarter of the posted poems you have. Dream of life, live for death, and trust me, you'll know if its a lie. In fact, I think you know the truth very clearly, even if fear may turn the crystal truth opaque. |
