Dying Rose 2006-01-29 . chapter 1"Yet lovers are not all
At play warmongers, fight
To have their day, see
Slaughter, soldiers
Children too, collateral
Damage, me
& you"-"A cost so easy to accept
After all as people slept
Across the globe still millions
Sighed, rifles sang &
Winter
Cried"
Those are my two favorite verses. I really like this poem: you have done an excellent job with it. It speaks the truth in beautiful words that tear at the heart and make me wonder why everyone can't see it the same way you can. The brutality of war is something that most treat as trivial, and half the peoples of the earth couldn't tell you why another is at war. We as nations are all caught up in the deadly game of suicide by war and national expense. My hat is off to you for choosing to write on this subject. You've said your say, in a powerful, compelling, and painful manner. Wonderful job!
Thanks for your reviews too.:) |
