Oh wow. This was so dripping with emotion! I absolutely love how you repeated the stanza beginning with "Can you promise me," throughout. Very dramatic. I also ADORE the contrast between the third and fourth stanzas. How you always return to that "Can you promise me" stanza makes each line even more devastating. I love this. I think this is my favorite of yours so far! excellent piece!
