It's not often I read a poem that touches my heart quite like this one. Wonderfully written as always.

Magnificently sexual, exotic and erotic: the deathbed is no place for might have beens and while the flesh is certainly weak, Fabian Cortez shows us that the spirit shall triumph always.

I love that return to life...you bring to the rim of the caynon push us off and then pull us back one more time before we plunge...nicely done.

Sad. Well written, but very very sad. I'm hoping this isn't reality for you. The words had a finality and heart-stirring feel to them even before I got to the last couple stanzas. The end tore at my heart and made me feel pain. You did a really good job with the emotion and remembering in this piece. I really like it.
