you establish mood so well- it's so precise and perfect, your description of the woman is perfect- i can see her so easily- you really made her a real, living character. the attention to detail really accentuates the overall mood, the woman so helpless. however, i would think the ending leaves something to be desire- it sort of doesn't fit as well with the overall mood, a bit too colloquial.
