abuseWar is an entity, it's taking over and ruling the already corrupt world. What the Lord and Lady must think looking at how we are today. Blessed Be.

abusei really loved this. it was long, but kept my attention and told your feelings of the war without cruelly bashing soldiers. i personaly do that (oops) but you made this beautiful. my favourites lines were: Where the bullets and shrapnel are flying

To the war that nobody wants' and i like the last stanza, but i think i'd like it better without it. the idea was poppies covering our graves would have been a brilliant ending. nevertheless, great poem

abuseI loved your poem and it's meaning, however I think that in some places there is a bit of wordiness that doesn't fit with your riming scheme. This is just my opinion, but without war we wouldn't have this country and I'm not saying that war is good, because it is everything but good. I think with out war a lot of evil in this world would break loose that hasn't already and nobody would put a stop to it. Anyway, I'm sorry I'm going on a tangent. You're poem is awesome, keep writing!

abuseThis is a really great poem. I clicked on the "War" button under Original Poetry to find some inspiration to write my English War Poem assignment but I ever expected to read such a real poem. I agree with you about the war. I find war meaningless. War serves nothing but to kill. I am glad there are still people with empathy and compassion. Peace :)

abuseThis reminds me of any number of songs by Phil Ochs.

Nice job.
