I'm actually not sure why I like this, or what it is that I like about it. I think maybe the first two lines are my favourite. I guess the narrator of the poem is folling themselves in some ways, but in a way that everybody does at some point in their life.
I like the way you use "excuses" as well. Its just so simple and yet it hits you. Nice.

*fumes* Whoever this is directed to...*smack* Whether these are your feelings, or someone else's, people who hide their relationships with others because it isn't right are just...there isn't even a word. I hate them. Despise. Detest. There really isn't a strong enough word.

Cute poem. It seems simple and upfront without anything particually hidden to it.

There's something about this that just...makes me adore it so, so much. I mean, of course (as per usual from LizardKing) it's beautifully written and of course it says something powerful; but there's...something else to it that makes it stand out, makes me want to read it over and over again (like good poetry should be).

I love the play-on-words you have going, the sort of mischief that comes out of the "being cold/hot" lines, and the overall feel of being empty but full at the same time that I get from reading it (which may or may not make sense). I don't know...I really can't exactly explain, but this piece is definitely giving off some amazing vibe.
