This is really beautiful and disturbing. Even though I was horrified by what I was reading I could not stop. It's like a beautiful train wreck.

You've written this -beautifully-. Just how sad and mournful the narrator is really gets a hold of you and sweeps you up. Because of how much he and Arevik are hurting, you end up hating Armel--right up until the end. It's different. Now it looks like everyone is suffering too. It's ironic, maybe. And what he says at the end -could- sound really firm, really convincing. Or, it could be just...not. Either way, there's a lot of feeling in it, whatever side it swings to. I also liked how you described this: "bad tears." Wonderful job.
