it is so innocent and heartbreaking to read. it may be that i used to do this all the time when it rained, when the thunder boomed so much and my ears would ring, or when my parents didn't came home later then norm; i just love how you mix in something so humorous and whistful to something that becomes a tad bittersweet. i do love this, the last line is just w o w.
