Wingless Cherub 2006-03-09 . chapter 1"I died the ((say)) you gave them to me"--you meant *day*. I'm not entirely sure I understand this poem, but then maybe I wasn't meant to; maybe this is just one of those that keeps you guessing; keeps you coming back and reading over again, trying to understand. I expected more angst but this is good too. "Dying with silent grace" is my favorite line. And the title is what really attracted me: "Wilting Roses"--I expected something really dark, and since this is supposedly about to become a collection of poems, maybe they'll get darker as we go along. I'll be reading. :) |
Dying Rose 2006-03-06 . chapter 1I LOVE THIS POEM. I think it's one of your best. I, of course, love the subject matter, having a thing for roses, especially dying ones, and comparing roses to people. But even disregarding that - I love the way this was written. It has a soft, tender, delicate feel, like the roses themselves, and yet is rough, painful, and piercing at the same time. It's so beautiful. Going on my favorites list definitely. The flow is smooth but biting, like melting ice. There's agony underneath every line to go along with the simplistic way you wrote it. I love this love this love this. You've done an INCREDIBLE job. Keep it up, I'm looking forward to reading the others. |
Immortal Nyght 2006-03-02 . chapter 1I...want to cry as I read this. It is rough, but like anything, writing requires constant work to keep up the rate of quality. Practice and all that **. But I...I love this. Its so tender. As soft and delicate the wilting roses I feel I become when I read it, think about it. I need to get back to writing too though. But keep it up. |
