'My heart is dyed your brilliance now'

i love that line. its a bit confusing - at first, i thought the roses represented people and the thorns were their mistakes and 'every blushing petal' is about their love etc, and how the path is difficult, and the red-yellow bit is where they've dyed themselves to fit in with the norm, but the bit about vases didn't really fit in with that. i'd be interested to know what its actually about...
