Galadh Niniel 2006-03-12 . chapter 1
So sad, and so beautifully written. The speaker's emotions are expressed in a great way, his/her neediness and love and despair at seeing the other person slip away. I like your use of contrasts, cold vs. heat etc.

So sad and beautiful, I can see the connection to Sheherazade, but the poem is beautiful in its own right and can be understood without that connection. Among other things, to me it speaks of someone watching the person they love slip away from them, retreat into their own inner world where the speaker cannot reach them, and I know that feeling well (compare my poem "Seerose"). The last line is a bit surprising in the context of the poem, it doesn't seem to fit in with the rest or to be naturally concluded form the previous stanzas, but this needn't be a negative thing.
