Wash them away? Never. But I might carve and stain them out with my own marks. You're mine. And those fingerprints mean nothing in the end. Nothing relevent to now. But I love the idea, and the knowledge that this has run through your heart and mind.

Know this feeling! Wish I could wash away the fingerprints of my past, too. It's well written and the flow runs beautifully. I really like the subject matter and you chose a topic not many dare to write about. Hats off to you for doing so. I really appreciate someone finally doing this! It's very well done and the imagery is haunting.

I liked this poem. It left some up to the mind of the reader, yet gave enough info that the reader knows what you are talking about.
